Instructions for reporting alleged copyright infringement and responding with a counter-notice.

Copyright Policy

FocalFuse LLC respects the rights of copyright holders and has adopted this policy for submitting notices of alleged copyright infringement.

Notice of Copyright Infringement

If you believe in good faith that content on focalfuse.com infringes your copyright, send a notice to the Designated Copyright Agent below. A notice should contain the information required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. ยง512).

  • The full name and physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list when multiple works are involved.
  • Enough detail for us to identify and locate the allegedly infringing material, such as a link to the relevant page.
  • A mailing address, telephone number, and email address where we can contact you.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

After receiving an adequate notice, we will respond expeditiously and take the action we consider appropriate, which may include removing or disabling access to the disputed material.

Counter-Notice

If you believe a copyright notice was submitted against you improperly, you may send the Designated Agent a counter-notice containing the information required by the DMCA.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed because of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, email address, and telephone number.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate Federal District Court and accepting service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

Counter-Notice Process

Submit counter-notices to FocalFuse LLC, PO Box 503, Janesville, WI 53547, or focalfuseinfo@gmail.com.

When a compliant counter-notice is received, FocalFuse may provide it to the original claimant and explain that the material may be restored after ten business days unless the claimant first provides notice of a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity. FocalFuse intends to comply with applicable provisions of the DMCA but does not accept unilateral responsibility for policing all material believed to infringe.
